Paladins: Champions of the Realm on the Nintendo Switch

Paladins on the Switch.

Of course Paladins is coming to the Nintendo Switch in June 12th of 2018. Is anyone really surprised?

Hi-Rez announces the port of its wildly popular hero shooter mere days before it arrives on the console. Paladins even has its own page in the Nintendo eShop now, putting all the rumors to rest.

A Reddit user by the name Marxally data mined his way through a Paladins update as far back as May, and discovered images of JoyCon controllers -- eluding to this game's inevitable release on the Switch.

Paladins is often referred to as an Overwatch clone, despite the two games having a virtually identical development cycle, only roughly 22 days apart. despite Overwatch being the overwhelmingly more popular game, it hasn't stopped Paladins from reaching a concurrent 17 million downloads on Steam.

Unfortunately for Switch players, the game isn't free-to-play yet. The list price on the Nintendo eShop is $30.00, but with that purchase price, you get the Champions pack (Formerly known as the founder's pack when the game was in beta) which unlocks all 30+ champions from the start, including all future champions released from that time forward.
