Apple Thinks the SD Card Slot is 'Cumbersome'

After Apple turned the Mac Pro into a sparsely upgrade-able trash can, destroyed Final Cut Pro, Refused to put OSX in their iPad, charged customers upwards of $800 for a phone with outdated technology and no headphone jack, gave MacBook pro users a touch bar instead of a touch screen, and replaced the magnetic charger that prevented you from tripping over the power cable and killing yourself with USB-C ports, Apple further proves that they have lost their minds by removing the SD card slot, so that power users will be forced to buy dongles in order to use their $1500 DSLR Cameras with their Apple laptops that cost slightly more than a down payment on a four-bedroom house.

Because Apple knows everyone just shits a stack of $100 bills three times a day, Apple's chief of marketing Phil Schiller revealed in an interview with The Independent why he felt removing possibly the most important feature for photographers and film makers was a good Idea.

"Because of a couple of things. One, it’s a bit of a cumbersome slot. You've got this thing sticking halfway out. Then there are very fine and fast USB card readers, and then you can use CompactFlash as well as SD. So we could never really resolve this – we picked SD because more consumer cameras have SD but you can only pick one. So, that was a bit of a trade-off. And then more and more cameras are starting to build wireless transfer into the camera. That’s proving very useful. So we think there’s a path forward where you can use a physical adapter if you want, or do wireless transfer."

Schiller then admitted he was surprised by the level of criticism the MacBook Pro was receiving, when you create a product that costs more and does less. He then dismisses legitimate criticism of this amazingly stupid decision by saying he...

'...never seen a great new Apple product that didn’t have its share of early criticism and debate — and that’s cool. We took a bold risk, and of course with every step forward there is also some change to deal with.'
Apple is now starting to realize the magnitude of this ridiculous decision, and is now looking to offer discounts on its magnum dongles, because that's exactly what Apple users need right now; more dongles.
