Dark Water is a Japanese horror film of a mother Yoshimi Matsubara (Hitomi Kuroki) who is going through a divorce. During this time, she moves into an apartment with her 6 year old daughter, Ikuko (Rio Kanno). However, there are water leaks throughout the apartment.

During Yoshimi’s stressful new lifestyle, the water leaks in the apartment continue to advance into a creeping reality.

Directed by Hideo Nakata (Ringu, Ringu 2, Death Note: L Change the World & most recently Words With Gods), this film is well- structured and the cast is first rate. There are several scenes that are so ghostly and surreal, that it would leave you frightened, maybe even disturbed. This is truly one of the Japanese horror classic.

If you enjoy watching horror movies; Dark Water, is one to see.
