Several love letters were written by a woman who had lived over 100 years before. A young man buys an antique desk and finds this old love letter inside a compartment of the desk.  He becomes skeptical and  decides  to respond to the answer of a woman who had lived during the Civil War.

Based on an awesome short story by Jack Finney, the story takes place in Boston within 2 time periods. Campbell Scott and Jennifer Jason Leigh are perfect together, and I've never seen her look lovelier.

This is a great romantic story, thoroughly enjoyable, and is told without swearing or vulgarity.
